Brief description of incident with bias indicators: The bias motive in this incident is ethnic origin,
citizenship or language, and the bias indicators in this incident are:
1. Presumed difference between perpetrator and victim on ethnicity – due to the different ethnic composition
of the population in the village of Morani, and the end destinations the train leads to (Bitola and
Skopje), the ethnicity of the victim may differ from the one of the perpetrator.
2. Nature of violence – The incident was carried out in public.
3. Lack of other motives.

Status of the case: Unknown.
Response of local authorities: The MOI answered on the Request for information sent by the
Committee that they have report about stones placed on the rails, but no information about an
incident consisted of stoning a train.
Impact on the victim(s) and the community: This type of incidents brings into question the general
political situation in the country and the cohabitation between the Macedonians, on one side and
the Albanians as the two largest ethnic communities in the society, as well as it endangers the general
safety in public transportation.
