What happened: On 05.03.2019, at 9:10 p.m., at SEI Skopje, it was reported that on Skupi 2 Street, the
public peace and order was disrupted with an altercation among J.S. (27), М.S.(35) and А.S.(25) on one side,
and S.Z.(24), Gj.Z.(33) and two more minors aged 17 and 15 on the other. The police issued minutes and
determined a misdemeanour pursuant to Article 11, paragraph 3 from the LMPO.

Brief description of the event with bias indicators: In this incident the bias motive is ethnicity, with the bias
indicators being:
1. Ethnicity – the victims and attackers belonged to a different ethnic community. In this part of
the city (in the vicinity of the village of Zlokukjani and Momin Potok) the population belongs
to different ethnic communities, mostly Macedonians, Roma and Albanians.
Status of case: Closed.
Response of the local authorities: The case was reported as a misdemeanour pursuant to Article 11, LMPO.
Impact on the victims and the community: These types of incidents call into question the general safety in
the country and the co-existence among different ethnic groups in society.
