What happened: On 14.03.2019, at 3:15 p.m., at SEI Skopje, it was reported that on the Treta Makedonska
Brigada Blvd., at a high school, during the lunch break, F.А., А.М. and А.I., all from the village of Kopanica,
Skopje region, joined by two other individuals, physically assaulted M.I. (19) and B.М. (18), both from the
village of Batinci. М.I and B.М. received medical care at the City General Hospital St. Naum Ohridski.
Measures are being taken to completely solve the case.

indicators being:
1. Ethnicity – the victim and attackers belonged to a different ethnic community;
2. Location – the event occurred at a high school attended by students from diverse ethnic
communities.
Status of case: Unknown.
Response of the local authorities: The Violent Crime Unit pressed criminal charges to the PPPO Skopje
against F.А. (20) and А.F. (21) from Skopje on the grounds of reasonable suspicion for having committed the
criminal offence Violence pursuant to Article 386 from the CC of RNM.
Impact on the victims and the community: These types of incidents call into question the general safety in
the country and the co-existence among different ethnic groups in society.
