What happened: On 04.05.2019, at 8:30 p.m., at the Police Station Chair, T.T. reported that around 6:00
p.m., her 15-year old son was physically assaulted by several individuals on Tale Hristov Street, Skopje (near
the Economy High School Arsenij Jovkov). Measures are being taken to solve the case.
Date, time and place of incident: 04.05.2019, around 6:00 p.m., Tale Hristov Street.

Brief description of the event with bias indicators: In this incident the bias motive is ethnicity, with the bias
indicators being:
1. Ethnicity – the victim and perpetrators belong to different ethnic community;
2. Location – the event occurred in the vicinity of the Economy High School Arseni Jovkov,
attended by pupils from different ethnic communities, where similar events have previously
been registered before.
Status of case: Unknown.
Response of the local authorities: The Violent Crime Unit pressed criminal charges to the PPPO Skopje
against М.Sh. (14), F.I. (14) and H.K. (14) for having committed the criminal offence “Violence”.
Impact on the victims and the community: These types of incidents call into question the general safety in
the country and the co-existence among different ethnic groups in society, and reflect particularly poorly
on children’s development and conduct.
