What happened: Around 19:45, at the Str. Gjorche Petrov in Skopje, in JSP bus no.56, in the direction
towards the village of Bojane, there was a fight between persons on the bus, which disturbed the
public order. Following the intervention of police officers, R.R. (20) from the village of Arnakija was
detained in the police station, after the police found a knife in his possession. S.F. (18) incurred a
scratch on his arm during the fight. The Emergency Medical Assistance was called, and after he was
given medical assistance he was sent home to recover.

Response of the local authorities: The MoI’s response to the MHC request for public information
regarding this incident stated that the incident happened while the bus was driving along St. Gjorche
Petrov near the bus station, after the roundabout. Following the incident, the police officers from
the Police Station Gjorche Petrov arrived at the scene and detained R.R. (20) from the village of
Arnakija, who had physically attacked F.S. (18) from the village of Ljubin and scratched his arm. The
Emergency Medical Assistance arrived on the spot and after providing medical treatment to F.S. sent
him home to recover. Upon consulting with a public prosecutor the police filed a report on a minor
criminal charge in compliance with Article 12 of the Law on Misdemeanours against the Public Order
(LMPO).
