What happened: In a sweet shop on “Vladimir Komarov” St. in Skopje, two people, F.C. (19) and A.M.
(20), were physically attacked by 5 or 6 unknown males who were also present in the same sweet shop,
for no apparent reason. F.C. and A.M. were taken to the Remedika Hospital where a doctor found
that F.C. had sustained severe bodily injury. The daily bulletin of the MoI states that they are taking
measures to identify the perpetrators and fully solve the case.
Date, time and location of the incident: 01 March, around 20:00, a sweet shop on “Vladimir Komarov”
St., Skopje.

Response of the local authorities: The MOI’s response to the MHC request for public information
regarding this incident, stated that SIA Skopje had submitted a written notification to the Basic
Public Prosecution Skopje (CU no.2284/17) for the reported criminal act of “Violence” in accordance
with Article 386 from CC.
Impact on the victim(s) and the community: This incident calls into question the ethnic co-existence
of the two major ethnic communities in the country.
