What happened: A fifteen-year-old male juvenile from the village of Nikishtani, Skopje, a student
in the Secondary School Cvetan Dimov, was attacked on JSP bus no.22 by 7-8 students, as a result
of which he was found to have suffered damage to the head and the body. The doctor at the City
Hospital St. Naum Ohridski found that he had sustained bodily injuries after which he was sent home
to recover.

Response of the local authorities: The MoI’s response to the MHC request for public information
regarding this incident stated that after interviewing the injured juvenile it was concluded that while
he was on the JSP bus no. 22, at the bus station near the St. Clement of Ohrid Church (Soboren
hram) in Skopje, 7-8 males aged 17-18 years of age got on the bus and physically attacked him causing
injuries to his head and body, after which they got off and ran away to an unknown destination. SIA
Skopje has submitted a written notification to the Basic Public Prosecution Skopje for the reported
criminal act Violence in accordance with Article 386 from CC (CU. No. 10538/17).

between the two largest communities in the country.
