What happened: At the bus stop in front of the Vero Jumbo Mall, in a JSP bus no.58 which was
heading towards the Transport center, a large group of youths aged 16-18 entered, and once the bus
started moving the young people attacked a 17-year old juvenile and broke one window pane. After
the bus stopped, at the bus stop in the Transport Center, the perpetrators got off and fled in different
directions. The injured juvenile was admitted to the Mother Teresa – Emergency Clinic where it was
found that he had sustained bodily injury. The police officers from the SIA took measures to solve
the case, whereby due to the disturbing of the public order and peace with elements of violence the
Alfa Unit from the Police Precinct of General Jurisdiction “Centar” deprived 9 (nine) people of liberty,
five of whom aged between 14 and 18 as possible perpetrators, while the rest of them in the role of
witnesses. The possible perpetrators were interviewed in the presence of their parents and attorneys,
whereby the juveniles were released, while one adult was kept in custody.

Status of the case: A written notification was sent to the Basic Public Prosecution in Skopje for the
crime of Violence in accordance with Article 386 from the Criminal Code.
Response of the local authorities: The MoI’s response to the MHC request for public information
regarding this incident stated that the SIA Skopje had submitted a written notification to the Basic
Public Prosecution Skopje (CU no.2285/17) for the reported criminal act of Violence in accordance
with Article 386 from CC.

political party and causes security concerns in the community it operates.
