Peer violence in Dracevo

What happened: On 23.03.2019, at 8:30 p.m., at SEI Skopje, G.K. (43) from Skopje reported that on the same
day, around 7:50 p.m., his 15-year old son was physically assaulted by two individuals around 14 and 15 years
of age on Ivan Haginikolov Street. Measures are being taken to solve the case.
Date, time and place of incident: 23.03.2019, at 7:50 p.m., Ivan Haginikolov Street, Skopje.

Brief description of the event with bias indicators: In this incident the bias motive is ethnicity, with the bias
indicators being:
1. Ethnicity – the victims and attackers belonged to a different ethnic community.
Status of case: Unknown
Response of the local authorities: The Department for Property Crime and Juvenile Delinquency at PS
Kisela Voda filed a written notification to the PPPO Skopje regarding the criminal offence “Severe Bodily
Injury” pursuant to Article 131 from the CC of RNM. After the complete documentation, proper charges are
going to be pressed.
Impact on the victims and the community: These types of incidents call into question the general safety in
the country and the co-existence among different ethnic groups in society.
